Tallie – Intern from University of Bath UK
Another international experience comes to an end at St Michael’s! 🇦🇷🌎
Over the past three months, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tallie, who joined us as part of her year abroad and became part of the everyday life of our Institute.
From assisting teachers and planning lessons to stepping into the classroom with children, teenagers and adults, she experienced first-hand what teaching and learning at St Michael’s looks like.
But these experiences have never been only about teaching English.
For us, welcoming international students is about creating opportunities for genuine cultural exchange. Our students get to use English for what it is really meant for: connecting with people, discovering different perspectives and becoming part of a bigger world.
At the same time, our international students get to experience Buenos Aires from the inside — sharing everyday life with our community, learning about our culture and, in this case, becoming part of a local host family.
Thank you, Tallie, for your enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to get involved in everything we do. We loved having you with us and are so happy that St Michael’s could be part of your journey.
We wish you all the best for whatever comes next — and remember, you’ll always have a home at St Michael’s! ❤️🇦🇷
